About the story

Joseph was Jacob's favourite son, and his father gave him a beautiful coat of many colours. Joseph's brothers were jealous, especially when he dreamed that they would bow down to him.

The brothers sold Joseph to traders going to Egypt. But God was with Joseph. He helped him explain Pharaoh's dreams, and Joseph was put in charge of Egypt to store grain before a great famine.

When his brothers came to Egypt to buy food, Joseph forgave them and the whole family was reunited. God had turned something bad into something good.
