Joseph sent his brothers home to fetch their father. "Tell my father that I'm alive, and bring him here!"
When old Jacob heard that Joseph was alive, he could hardly believe it. He had thought for years that Joseph was dead!
So Jacob and his whole family (children, grandchildren, animals and all) travelled to Egypt. Joseph rode out in his chariot to meet them.
As soon as Joseph saw his father, he threw his arms around him and cried for a long time. The family was together again at last.
