About Joseph (son of Jacob)
Joseph was Jacob's favourite son, and his father gave him a special coat of many colours. His jealous brothers sold him to traders, who took him to Egypt.
Even as a servant and a prisoner, God was with Joseph. God helped him explain Pharaoh's dreams, and Pharaoh put him in charge of all of Egypt, storing grain for a coming famine.
When his brothers came to Egypt for food, Joseph forgave them. "You meant to harm me," he said, "but God meant it for good."
