Read the story together
A short version of the story to read aloud before colouring, with questions to ask afterwards.
Joseph had some strange dreams. In one, he and his brothers were tying up bundles of wheat in a field. Suddenly Joseph's bundle stood up tall, and all his brothers' bundles bowed down to it!
In another dream, the sun, the moon and eleven stars bowed down to Joseph.
When Joseph told his family, his brothers were furious. "Do you think you're going to rule over us?" they said. They hated him even more.
But these dreams came from God, and one day they would come true in a surprising way.
Questions to ask
- What bowed down to Joseph in his dreams?
- How did Joseph's brothers feel about his dreams?
- Joseph's dreams came from God. How does God speak to us today?
