The story behind this colouring sheet
As the water slowly went down, the ark came to rest on the top of a mountain — the mountains of Ararat.
Noah's family must have felt the ark bump and stop moving. They were not floating any more!
But they still couldn't get out. All around, they could only see water. It took months more for the tops of other mountains to appear, and for the water to drain away.
Noah waited patiently. He knew God would tell him when it was time to come out.
Talk about it
- Where did the ark stop?
- Could Noah's family get out straight away?
- Waiting can be hard. What helps you to wait patiently?
