The story behind this colouring sheet
God told Noah to take two of every kind of animal into the ark, to keep them alive through the flood.
Imagine two great big elephants stomping across the fields towards the ark! Elephants are the biggest animals that live on land. They have long trunks for smelling, drinking and picking things up, and huge ears to keep cool.
Noah would have needed a very strong ramp — and a big room — for these two!
God cared about every animal, from the very biggest to the very smallest.
Talk about it
- How does an elephant sound? Can you trumpet like one?
- Why did God tell Noah to take animals into the ark?
- What do you think the elephants ate on the ark?
