“So Jonah arose, and went to Nineveh, according to the LORD’s word.”
The story behind this colouring sheet
God spoke to Jonah a second time: "Go to Nineveh." And this time, Jonah went!
Nineveh was an enormous city — it took three days to walk across it. Jonah walked through the streets calling out God's message: "In forty days, Nineveh will be destroyed!"
Amazingly, the people listened. They believed God! Everyone, from the king down to the poorest person, said sorry and stopped doing wicked things.
When God saw that they had changed, He had mercy on them and did not destroy the city.
Talk about it
- Did Jonah go to Nineveh the second time God asked?
- What did the people of Nineveh do when they heard God's message?
- God gave Jonah and Nineveh a second chance. Why is it good that God gives second chances?
