The story behind this colouring sheet
God gave Jonah a job. "Go to the great city of Nineveh and tell the people to stop doing wicked things."
But Jonah didn't want to go. The people of Nineveh were enemies of his country. So Jonah ran away — in the opposite direction!
He went down to the port of Joppa, found a ship sailing far away to Tarshish, paid his fare and climbed on board.
Jonah thought he could get away from God. But nobody can hide from God — He is everywhere.
