The story behind this colouring sheet
When the sailors threw Jonah into the sea, the storm stopped. Down, down Jonah sank — until God sent a huge fish to swallow him up!
For three days and three nights, Jonah was inside the fish. It was dark and wet and smelly. Seaweed was wrapped around his head!
In there, Jonah prayed. He said sorry to God and thanked Him for saving his life. "I will do what I promised," Jonah said. "Salvation comes from the Lord!"
God heard Jonah's prayer. He told the fish to spit Jonah out — onto dry land!
