“For a child is born to us. A son is given to us… His name will be called Wonderful Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”
The story behind this colouring sheet
About 700 years before Jesus was born, God gave the prophet Isaiah an amazing promise:
"For to us a child is born, to us a son is given. And he will be called Wonderful Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace."
Each of these names tells us something about Jesus. He is wise and always gives good advice. He is God, strong and mighty. He loves us like a perfect father, forever.
And He is the Prince of Peace. Jesus brings peace between us and God, and teaches us to live in peace with each other.
