When the music played, the people bowed down to the king’s statue. Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego stayed standing. They worshipped God and would not bow to an image.
The king was angry and called the three friends to him. They told him that they worshipped God. They believed God could help them, but they would still serve him even if he did not rescue them.
The three friends were brave and faithful. They chose to do what they believed was right, even when the king was upset.
