The story behind this colouring sheet
Owls are birds that are awake at night! They have big eyes to see in the dark and soft feathers so they can fly silently.
God brought birds of every kind to Noah's ark, and two owls flew in with the others.
Maybe the owls kept watch at night while everyone else was asleep, hooting softly in the dark.
God watches over us all the time — in the day and in the night. The Bible says He never sleeps!
Talk about it
- What sound does an owl make?
- Are owls awake in the day or at night?
- God watches over you all night long. How does that make you feel at bedtime?
