About the story
God made a beautiful garden called Eden and placed Adam there to care for it. God brought animals to Adam, and Adam gave them names. God made Eve to be his companion, and together they lived in the garden.
God told them they could eat fruit from the garden trees, except for one tree. They disobeyed God, then felt afraid and hid among the trees. God called to them, and they answered.
Adam and Eve had to leave Eden, but God still cared for them. He made clothes for them before they went. Their story reminds us that choices have consequences, and that God continues to care for people.
