About the story
After crossing the Red Sea, God's people travelled through the desert for many years. It was hard, and they often grumbled, but God took care of them.
When they were hungry, God sent manna, little flakes of bread that appeared on the ground every morning. When they were thirsty, God told Moses to strike a rock, and fresh water gushed out.
When Moses grew tired holding up his staff, his brother Aaron and his friend Hur held up his arms. God provided everything His people needed, including good friends.
