A short version of the story to read aloud before colouring, with questions to ask afterwards.
In the desert, there was nothing to eat. The people grumbled: "We had plenty of food in Egypt!"
But God took care of them. He said, "I will rain down bread from heaven for you."
The next morning, the ground was covered with little white flakes. "What is it?" the people asked. It was called manna, which means "What is it?" It tasted like wafers made with honey!
Every morning, God sent fresh manna. The people gathered just enough for each day. God fed them in the desert for forty years.
Questions to ask
- What did the manna look like?
- What does the word manna mean?
- God gave His people food every day. What can you thank God for at mealtimes?
