About the book of Exodus
Exodus means "going out". It tells how God rescued the Israelites from slavery in Egypt.
It begins with baby Moses floating in a basket on the River Nile. When Moses grew up, God spoke to him from a burning bush and sent him to tell Pharaoh, "Let my people go!"
After ten plagues, God's people escaped and walked through the Red Sea on dry ground. In the desert, God fed them with manna and gave Moses the Ten Commandments on two stone tablets.
