Read the story together
A short version of the story to read aloud before colouring, with questions to ask afterwards.
When God's people were safe on the other side of the sea, they were so happy and thankful that they burst into song!
Moses' sister Miriam, the same Miriam who had watched over baby Moses in the reeds, picked up her tambourine. All the women followed her, dancing and playing their tambourines.
Miriam sang: "Sing to the Lord, for He is highly exalted!"
When God does something wonderful, it's good to celebrate and praise Him!
Questions to ask
- What musical instrument is Miriam playing?
- Why were the people celebrating?
- How do you like to celebrate and praise God?
