About the story

At last Pharaoh let God's people go. God led them through the desert with a pillar of cloud by day and a pillar of fire by night.

But Pharaoh changed his mind and chased them with his army. The Israelites were trapped by the Red Sea! Moses stretched out his hand, and God sent a strong wind that pushed the water back into two walls.

God's people walked through the middle of the sea on dry ground. When they were safe on the other side, Miriam took her tambourine and everyone danced and sang praise to God.
