Read the story together
A short version of the story to read aloud before colouring, with questions to ask afterwards.
At last, Pharaoh let God's people go! Hundreds of thousands of Israelites left Egypt, with their children, their animals and everything they owned.
But how would they find the way through the desert? God led them Himself!
During the day, God went ahead of them in a huge pillar of cloud. At night, the cloud became a pillar of fire to give them light.
God never left them. Day and night, He was right there, showing them which way to go.
Questions to ask
- What led God's people in the day? What about at night?
- Why did the Israelites need someone to lead them?
- God led His people every step of the way. How does God guide you?
