Read the story together
A short version of the story to read aloud before colouring, with questions to ask afterwards.
The Israelites walked right through the middle of the sea on dry ground! There was a wall of water on their right and a wall of water on their left.
Imagine walking along and seeing fish swimming beside you in the walls of water!
All night long they walked, families and children and animals, until everyone had reached the other side safely.
When Pharaoh's army tried to follow, the water came crashing back. God's people were free! They saw God's great power, and they trusted Him.
Questions to ask
- What can you see in the walls of water?
- Was the ground wet or dry?
- God made a way when there seemed to be no way. Can you think of a time God helped you?
