A short version of the story to read aloud before colouring, with questions to ask afterwards.
Baby Moses had a big sister called Miriam. When their mother put the basket in the river, Miriam stayed to watch.
She hid in the tall reeds, a little way off, to see what would happen to her baby brother. She didn't take her eyes off the basket.
Miriam was brave and caring. She wanted to make sure her brother was safe.
Then she saw someone coming down to the river. Who could it be?
Questions to ask
- Where is Miriam hiding?
- Who was Miriam watching?
- Miriam looked after her little brother. How can you look after someone in your family?
