A short version of the story to read aloud before colouring, with questions to ask afterwards.
Pharaoh's daughter, a princess, came down to the river to bathe. She saw the basket among the reeds and sent her servant to fetch it.
When she opened it, the baby was crying. The princess felt sorry for him. "This must be one of the Hebrew babies," she said.
Just then Miriam ran up. "Shall I find a Hebrew woman to look after the baby for you?" "Yes," said the princess. And Miriam fetched their own mother!
The princess adopted the baby and named him Moses. God had kept him safe in an amazing way.
Questions to ask
- Who found baby Moses?
- Who looked after Moses for the princess?
- God took care of Moses in a surprising way. How has God taken care of you?
