Read the story together
A short version of the story to read aloud before colouring, with questions to ask afterwards.
One day Moses saw something strange. A bush was on fire, but it wasn't burning up! "I must go and see this," he said.
Then God called to him from the middle of the bush: "Moses! Moses!" "Here I am," said Moses.
"Don't come any closer," said God. "Take off your sandals, for you are standing on holy ground."
God told Moses that He had seen His people suffering in Egypt and had heard their cries. "I am sending you to Pharaoh to bring my people out of Egypt."
Questions to ask
- What was strange about the burning bush?
- Why did God tell Moses to take off his sandals?
- God heard His people when they cried for help. Does God hear you when you pray?
