Read the story together
A short version of the story to read aloud before colouring, with questions to ask afterwards.
On Mount Sinai, God gave Moses the Ten Commandments: ten good rules to show His people how to love God and love each other.
God wrote them Himself on two flat pieces of stone, called tablets.
The commandments teach us to love God first, to worship only Him, to honour our parents, to tell the truth, not to steal, and to be happy with what we have.
God's rules weren't given to spoil people's fun. They were given because God loves His people and wants the very best for them.
Questions to ask
- What did God give Moses on the mountain?
- Who wrote on the stone tablets?
- Can you remember any of the Ten Commandments?
