About the book of 1 Peter
First Peter is a letter written by Peter, the fisherman who left his nets to follow Jesus and became one of his twelve disciples.
Peter wrote to Christians who were going through hard and frightening times. He wanted them to keep their hope in Jesus and to be kind to each other, even when life was difficult.
Near the end of the letter is a verse that helps children when they feel worried: "casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you." We can hand our worries to God, because he cares about us.
