Memory verse
“casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you.”
Read the story together
A short version of the story to read aloud before colouring, with questions to ask afterwards.
Peter wrote to Christians who were having a hard time. He reminded them that God cared about them. The verse says they could bring their worries to God instead of carrying them alone. Everyone has worries sometimes: a child might feel nervous about a new place, miss someone, or wonder what will happen next.
Talking about a worry can help too. A child can tell a trusted grown-up, who can listen and help them decide what to do. People can also pray and ask God for help. This does not mean every problem disappears straight away. It means we can remember that we are not forgotten and that caring people can walk with us. Peter's words invite us to share what is heavy on our hearts and trust that God cares for us.
Questions to ask
- Who can listen when you feel worried?
- What is one thing that sometimes worries you?
- What are two ways you can seek help when a worry feels big?
