Memory verse
“And be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you.”

A short version of the story to read aloud before colouring, with questions to ask afterwards.
Paul told the Christians in Ephesus to be kind and tender-hearted with one another. He also reminded them to forgive, because God had forgiven them through Christ. Forgiving does not mean pretending that hurtful actions are fine. It means choosing to let go of revenge and asking for help to make things right.
Kindness can begin with small choices. We can help someone who has dropped their things, invite a person to join a game or speak gently when we are upset. When we make a mistake, we can say sorry and try to repair the hurt. When someone apologises to us, we can work towards forgiving them. Families and friends will still disagree sometimes. This verse reminds us to treat each other with care, remembering the mercy God has shown us.
Questions to ask
- How could you help someone pick up their books?
- What kind words can you say when someone makes a mistake?
- What might forgiveness look like after a disagreement?
