People brought their children to Jesus, hoping he would bless them. The disciples tried to send the families away, but Jesus told them to let the children come to him. He welcomed them and said that God's kingdom belongs to people like these little ones.
Jesus made room for children when others thought they should stay back. He listened to them and showed that they mattered. Children can remember that they are welcome with Jesus. Adults can follow his example by making time for children, hearing what they say and treating them with care. The story also invites children to trust God with an open heart. Everyone, young or old, can come to Jesus and learn from him.
