Read the story together
A short version of the story to read aloud before colouring, with questions to ask afterwards.
Paul wrote to Christians in Ephesus about staying strong in the Lord. He pictured a soldier getting ready for a difficult day. The armor was not for hurting people. It helped readers remember how to live faithfully. Paul named a belt of truth, a breastplate of righteousness, shoes ready to share the Good News of peace, a shield of faith, a helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is God's word. He also told them to pray. Each piece stood for a way to trust God and do what is right. The picture helped Christians remember that they could stand firm together.
Questions to ask
