Read the story together
A short version of the story to read aloud before colouring, with questions to ask afterwards.
Paul described a belt of truth as part of God's armor. A belt held clothing in place and kept equipment secure. Paul used it as a picture of telling the truth and holding on to what is true about God. He wrote these words to encourage Christians to stand firm when life was difficult. The armor was a picture, not an invitation to fight people. Truth helps us speak honestly and trust God's words. When we make a mistake, we can tell the truth and ask for help. The belt helped readers remember to keep truth close.
Questions to ask
- What is around the child's waist?
- What did Paul call the belt?
- How can telling the truth help people trust one another?
