Read the story together
A short version of the story to read aloud before colouring, with questions to ask afterwards.
Paul wrote that love is patient and kind. He was teaching the church in Corinth how people could live together as followers of Jesus. Love does not need to show off or make itself look more important than others. It can wait, share, listen and help.
Being patient is not always easy. A child may want a turn right away, or a building project may fall over. Kindness helps us treat other people gently while we try again. Paul was not describing love as just a warm feeling. He showed that love can be seen in the choices we make. We can practise by taking turns, using helpful words and celebrating when someone else does well. These small actions help a family or group become a place where everyone is cared for.
Questions to ask
- What are the children building?
- How can you show patience when someone else is having a turn?
- Why might kind actions help a group work well together?
