About The Shepherds
On the night Jesus was born, some shepherds were out in the fields near Bethlehem, looking after their sheep.
Shepherds were ordinary, hard-working people, but God chose them to be the first to hear the good news. An angel appeared, then a whole choir of angels singing "Glory to God!"
The shepherds hurried to Bethlehem, found baby Jesus lying in a manger, and then told everyone what they had seen, praising God all the way home.
