The story behind this colouring sheet
Joseph was a carpenter in Nazareth, and he was engaged to marry Mary. When he heard that Mary was going to have a baby, he didn't know what to do.
Joseph was a good and kind man. He decided to end the engagement quietly, so Mary would not be embarrassed.
But while he was sleeping, an angel spoke to him in a dream. "Joseph, don't be afraid to take Mary as your wife. Her baby is from the Holy Spirit. She will have a son, and you are to name him Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins."
When Joseph woke up, he did exactly what the angel had told him. He married Mary and took care of her.
