The story behind this colouring sheet
Then God made the most special thing of all: people.
God said, "Let us make people in our image." He made the first man, Adam, from the dust of the ground and breathed life into him. Then He made the first woman, Eve, to be Adam's partner.
Being made "in God's image" means people are like God in special ways: we can love, think, create, choose what is right, and be friends with God.
God put them in charge of looking after His world. Then He looked at everything He had made — and it was very good!
Talk about it
- Who were the first two people God made?
- What job did God give people to do?
- You are made in God's image. How can you show God's love to others?
