The story behind this colouring sheet
Far away in a country to the east lived some wise men. They studied the stars in the night sky.
One night they spotted a brand new star, brighter than the others. They believed it meant something amazing: a new king had been born in Israel, a king they wanted to worship!
So they packed up precious gifts and set out on a very long journey, probably riding camels across deserts and mountains. They travelled for weeks or even months.
When they arrived in Jerusalem they asked, "Where is the one who has been born King of the Jews? We saw his star and have come to worship him."
Talk about it
- What did the wise men see in the sky?
- What did the wise men want to do when they found the new king?
- The wise men travelled a very long way to find Jesus. What can we do to get to know Jesus better?
