About the story
Solomon became king after his father David. God appeared to him in a dream and asked what he wanted. Solomon asked for wisdom to lead the people well. God gave him great wisdom.
Solomon listened carefully when people brought him difficult problems. He made fair decisions and became known for his wisdom. He also built a temple in Jerusalem where the people could worship God.
The Queen of Sheba heard about Solomon and visited him with questions and gifts. She was amazed by his wisdom. Solomon’s story shows how he used his gifts to lead and serve the people.
