Read the story together
A short version of the story to read aloud before colouring, with questions to ask afterwards.
Naaman was a respected commander in Aram, but he had a skin disease. A young Israelite girl served Naaman's wife in their home. The girl remembered the prophet Elisha, who lived in Samaria. She told Naaman's wife that Elisha could help Naaman. The wife passed this message on to her husband. Naaman listened and set out to find the prophet. The servant girl was far from her own home, yet she shared what she knew. Her words began Naaman's journey to Elisha. The story reminds us that even a young person can offer helpful information.
Questions to ask
- Who did the young girl speak to?
- Where did the girl say Elisha lived?
- How did the servant girl's words help Naaman?
