About the story
Elisha was a prophet who helped people in many ways. He told a widow that her small jar of oil would fill the empty jars she borrowed, so she could pay her debt. He helped a woman and her husband prepare a room where he could rest during his visits. A young servant girl told Naaman's wife that Elisha could help Naaman. Naaman followed Elisha's instruction to wash in the Jordan River and was healed. Elisha also helped a worker find an iron axe head that had fallen into the river. Once, Elisha's servant was afraid when an army surrounded them. Elisha prayed, and the servant saw hills filled with horses and chariots of fire. These stories tell of the people Elisha met and the help they received.
