Memory verse
“who having found one pearl of great price, he went and sold all that he had and bought it.”
Read the story together
A short version of the story to read aloud before colouring, with questions to ask afterwards.
Jesus told another story about God's kingdom. A merchant searched for fine pearls. When he found one pearl of great value, he went away and sold everything he owned so he could buy it. The merchant knew the pearl was worth more than all the other things he had. Jesus used this story to help people understand how precious God's kingdom is. The merchant looked carefully for beautiful pearls, and when he found the special one, he chose it above everything else. This story is a reminder to think about what matters most.
