About the story
Moses led the Israelites through the wilderness after God brought them out of Egypt. The people faced hard journeys and often worried, but God guided them and provided what they needed. Moses listened to God and helped the people follow him.
Twelve scouts explored the land God had promised. They returned carrying a huge bunch of grapes, showing how fruitful the land was. Later, when the people needed help, God gave Moses a sign to raise on a pole. Everyone who looked at the bronze snake was saved from the snake bites.
Moses led the people for many years. Near the end of his life, God showed him the Promised Land from Mount Nebo. Moses saw the Jordan Valley and Jericho, and Joshua would lead the people across the river.
