Elijah travelled to Mount Horeb and stayed in a cave. God told him to stand on the mountain. A strong wind came, then an earthquake, then a fire, but the Lord was not in those things. After the fire there was a quiet, gentle voice. Elijah covered his face with his cloak and stood at the cave entrance to listen. God gave Elijah new instructions and reminded him that he was not alone. This story has loud weather followed by a quiet moment. The picture can show Elijah listening in the stillness at the mouth of the cave.
