Read the story together
A short version of the story to read aloud before colouring, with questions to ask afterwards.
Hannah cared for Samuel as he grew. She remembered her promise to God and brought Samuel to the temple at Shiloh. There he would help Eli the priest.
Hannah spoke with Eli and thanked God for answering her prayer. Samuel stayed at the temple to serve God. Hannah trusted that he would be cared for there.
Each year Hannah visited Samuel. She loved him and continued to pray for him. Samuel grew up learning to serve God and help the people.
Questions to ask
- Who is holding Samuel's hand?
- Who is waiting at the temple?
- Why did Hannah bring Samuel to the temple?
