A short version of the story to read aloud before colouring, with questions to ask afterwards.
The letter to the Hebrews encouraged Christians to keep trusting Jesus. It reminds them that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever. People and circumstances can change, and we may not know what tomorrow will bring. The verse says that Jesus' care and teaching can still be trusted.
The people who first read Hebrews needed encouragement to keep going. They could remember what they had learned about Jesus and support one another. Children can also remember that they are not alone when they face changes, such as starting school, moving house or meeting new people. They can talk with a trusted adult, pray and remember the things Jesus taught about loving God and other people. This verse offers a steady reminder that Jesus remains faithful through every day.
